Patients come to Quan Yin Healing Arts for many different reasons. 
Often they come because they have been referred by a doctor. Or they may be curious about acupuncture. Perhaps a former patient has encouraged them.

Inevitably, however, they come to us because they want to feel better.

The first thing that happens for all new patients is an initial examination. It can last from 45 minutes to an hour, depending upon the problem. The examination includes an interview, during which the patient’s condition is discussed. In order to recommend a course of treatment, it is important to understand what is wrong and how it is affecting all aspects of the patient’s life.

We focus not only on the specific health problem, but the overall quality of the patient’s health, because any disease condition is the result of an imbalance, and, in turn, can further alter the overall balance of an individual’s health and energy. We believe in listening – to what the patients say with their words, their posture, their energy levels.

Based upon the examination, a course of treatment is recommended. We strongly believe in a teamwork approach to healthcare. It is our experience that the best results happen when patients are committed to helping themselves.
